City of Blue Island Discover Blue Island, The Historic Heart of Chicago Southland
Celebrate the holidays on Saturday, December 7th at the Blue Island Christmas Light Parade and Open House!
A new tradition in Uptown Blue Island, families and friends gather to cheer for bands, dancers, floats, dancing horses and much more, all decorated with festive holiday lights! The Parade is on Western Avenue from Union to Grove Streets and begins at 5:30pm. Bring the entire family!
Join us after the parade for the lighting of the Christmas tree at Uptown Park (York & Western) for refreshments and cookie sale. Visit the open houses at the Blue Island Public Library, Carr Gardens, Franklin Framing, and Flowers by Cathe, just to name a few.
