On Sunday, September 1st, Mayor Domingo Vargas volunteered with Aldermen Tom Hawley, Charissa Bilotto and Jairo Frausto; City Treasurer Carmine Bilotto and others to help Public Works Superintendent Frank Berrini paint over the long-faded mural located on the east side of the Gregory Street Bridge.  Thanks for the makeover!  Click Volunteers to view a short video.  

Mayor Domingo Vargas (front center) and the Mexico En La Piel Dancers   On Saturday, August 17, 2013, the Blue Island dance group, Mexico En La Piel entertained at the Illinois State Fair.  Mayor Domingo Vargas introduced the dance group led by Maria de la Lux almazan.  Congratulations to all those involved!
