Please be advised that the Ashland Avenue Bridge, located just north of Broadway, was struck by a semi-truck damaging the structure. The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) immediately closed the bridge deeming it unsafe for use and has asked that people use the Halsted Street Bridge to cross the Cal-Sag Channel. Repairs are estimated to take three (3) months.
