On President’s Day, February 17th, Trisha Bobeda with WBEZ, was back in Blue Island at the Historical Society’s Albee House, to follow on Blue Island winning their CURIOS CITY contest regarding why Blue Island chose not to be annexed into Chicago. Trisha interviewed Mayor Domingo Vargas; Historical Society President, Mike Kalikski; Lifelong Blue Island residents William and Richard Bauer and Jason Berry with the City of Blue Island. WBEZ, 91.5, has been playing the interview and has posted it on their website at www.wbez.org!
