On Sunday, June 8th, Greenwood Avenue will be closed from 119th to 127th for our first Annual Open Streets event! The Blue Island Community Health Coalition, the American Heart Association and the Active Transportation Alliance have partnered to host this event aimed at getting people outdoors and playing in the streets! Each block will feature a different activity from Yoga to Bean Bags, Hula Hoop to musical chairs! All of Blue Island is invited to attend. Be sure to bring a mat (or blanket) for yoga….there will even be space where you can lay your blanket and bring a picnic lunch! Event Hours 1:00-4:00pm!
