Holiday Schedule

Thursday, July 3rd, Blue Island Fireworks Display at Eisenhower High School. Gates open at 7pm. Free admittance. Parking at Burr Oak Bowl, BevLab and Eisenhower lot- $5; Parking at Eisenhower inside the gates $20. Note – Sacramento will be closed to traffic after 8pm. Flags and glow necklaces will be sold to collect money for next year’s fireworks! Bring the whole family. Sit in the stands or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn.

Friday, July 4th
, Blue Island Community Parade. Starts at 10:30 in front of Paul Revere Intermediate School, 12331 Gregory Street. The parade, led by Mayor Vargas, will proceed north on Gregory to 120th Street, turn right (east) to Longwood Drive: turn right (south) and merge onto Vincennes Ave; Continue south on Vincennes to Irving; south on Irving to York Street; turn right on York (west). The Parade ends at MetroSouth Pavilion Park (corner of York and Western). Walk, ride your bike, do a dance routine, whatever…this is your parade!

Friday, July 4th
, First TGIF Picnic at MetroSouth Pavilion Park at York and Western from 11:00am-2:00pm! Music and food and soda available for purchase from Double Play (you can’t go wrong)! Why buy the food, get out the charcoal, clean the yard when you and your friends and family can eat at the picnic and enjoy the music!
