Interested in the Future of Blue Island’s Tree Canopy?
At the invitation of the Urban Forestry Board and the Dept. of Public Works, Mark Duntemann will help us better understand how to replace diseased ash trees, protect and care for our older shade trees and plan for the the improvement of our natural and beautiful tree canopy. He will be speaking at 7 pm, Thursday, October 23rd in the City Hall East Annex, 2434 Vermont Street. Mark, is the Senior Consultant at Natural Path Urban Forestry, who helped Blue Island plan its Ash free Inventory in 2011, developed a more comprehensive tree inventory in 2012, and designed a Forestry Management plan which he presented to UFB and the City in March of 2013, — all of which makes him a true friend of our fair city, and well worth coming out to hear!
