The Blue Island Police Department will be conducting special enforcement of Seat Belt use Superbowl weekend. The City was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to put more officers on the street Superbowl weekend to be sure car drivers and passengers are using their seat belts. This is the third campaigns of the Department’s six STEP (Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program) and part of Illinois’ “Drive to Survive” enforcement effort.
Be sure to wear your seat belts and be safe.
