Fireworks

Final Fireworks

It’s that time of year again! Join your friends and neighbors for the  fireworks display at Eisenhower High School. The fireworks will begin at dusk. Gates open at 7 pm. Free admittance. There will be a $5.00 donation for parking at the Eisenhower lot. Note – Sacramento will be closed to traffic after 8 pm. Bring the whole family. Sit in the stands or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn.

 

Saturday, July 4th

Veteran’s Breakfast

Mayor Vargas and the City of Blue Island are hosting a breakfast to celebrate our military this Saturday, July 4th. Both active and retired members are invited. The breakfast will be at the City Hall East Annex (2434 Vermont St) at 9 am. De Mar’s Restaurant (12941 S Western Ave) has graciously offered to donate all of the food for this event.

The People’s Parade

Back by popular demand!  The People’s parade will kick off at 10:30 am at Memorial Park on Saturday, July 4th! You can start walking up to Memorial Park at 10:00. The parade will go through the beautiful streets of Blue Island  and then back to the Park.  Bring your family, friends, pets, bicycles and wagons and be a part of the parade. So join the Peoples Parade, Saturday, July 4th at 10:30!
