The Blue Island Park District will be presenting Operation: Honor this Saturday, August 29th in Memorial Park to honor all those who have served or are serving our country. This is an event for the whole family. The opening ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m. On display, there will be a Vietnam Patrol Boat, restored military vehicles, Vietnam reenactors, Company C, 1st/503nd PIR, 101st Airborne, Static display of Vietnam equipment. Also, there will be live music and food! It will be a day to remember for the whole family.
