Water, Water Everywhere

Tuesday, September 1st

The Blue Island Public Library is hosting the Friends of the Forest Preserve this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. They are returning this fall with a program entitled Eating the Earth. This series will focus on water sources of the south suburban areas. Josh Ellis from the Calumet Stormwater Collaborative will speak on how life here is increasingly shaped by H2O. Topics will range from flooding in Midlothian to pollution in the Cal-Sag; falling water levels in Lake Michigan to farm runoff. It’s free and will be a great opportunity to learn about the impacts of flooding in the south suburban area.
