The American Forest and Bank of America are donating trees and manpower to plant them along Canal Street. Volunteers are needed to plant about 30 trees along the route of the future Cal-Sag Trail. Help plant, water and mulch the new trees. Please bring your own gloves, a shovel and/or a rake, if possible. Snacks and water will be provided. Come on out and see this greening, Earth Day event in Blue Island! The event starts at 9 am and will go to noon!It’ll be on Canal Street between Western and Chatham.
