Volunteer Opportunity – June 28, 2019

There is a volunteering opportunity to help clean up the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) SEPA Station 3 along the Cal-Sag Channel at Chatham and Fulton Streets. This clean- up initiative is for the 28th of June Blue Island Fireworks Festival, and for the guests who plan to visit the site. Clean up starts from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Water and a light lunch will be provided.

To register as a volunteer, please email mbarrera@cityofblueisland.org with your name and address.

The day of the clean-up, volunteers are asked to stop by the blue Chamber of Commerce tent upon arrival to sign waivers. Volunteers should wear light clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and garden gloves. Gloves will be provided if you don’t have any.
