From St. Benedict School:
St. Benedict School and Parish are preparing for their annual St. Benedict Fest. This family friendly festival takes place Saturday, July 13 from 2 PM – 11 PM, at St. Benedict Parish, located at 2339 York Street. The Fest encompasses York Street from Western to Gregory. This festival is a great way to support the beloved St. Benedict and the Blue Island community.
This annual event spotlights family and fun, offering something for every member of the family. Some kid friendly activities include face painting, games and bounce houses. Local food and craft vendors will be on site accompanied by great entertainment and so much more. Best of all, admission is free and tickets for attractions will be sold on site.
There are many things in store for this year’s Fest. Be sure to check out the magic show that is sure to wow kids of all ages. The entertainment headliner, Ronnie Rice from The New Colony Six, has amazed crowds since the late 1960’s. Come sing along and dance as he performs hit records such as “I Will Always Think About You” and “Things I’d Like to Say.”
Limited parking will be available at the parking lot just south of St. Benedict School and along Western Ave.
There are sponsorship and vendor opportunities available as well. The festival committee is currently looking for sponsors and vendors for this event. Vendor spaces start at $50 for crafts and $50 + 50% of gross sales for food. Sponsorship opportunities start at $500. If you would like to donate, no amount is too small. Please fill
