Smoke Detector Distribution For Blue Island Households Scheduled For October 5

October 4 through October 10 is National Fire Prevention Week. While it’s important to learn ways to prevent fires, accidental fires can and do happen. One of the most critical items to help detect and alert you of a fire in your home is a working Smoke Detector. The Blue Island Fire Department will be passing out one free smoke detector per household in Blue Island on Monday, October 5, from 9 to 10 am at the East Annex. Please remember to wear proper PPE and practice safe social distancing.
