Mitigation Order 2021-4 Continues Easing Mitigation Measures in Suburban Cook County

On February 16, the Cook County Department of Public Health issued COVID-19 Mitigation Order 2021-4 to continue easing mitigation measures in suburban Cook County.

“The COVID-19 metrics continue to improve, allowing us to align with the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Stickney Township Public Health District and ease mitigation restrictions in suburban Cook County,” said Dr. Kiran Joshi, Senior Medical Officer and Co-Lead, Cook County Department of Public Health.”

Effective immediately, Mitigation Order 2021-4 increases capacity limits in bars, restaurants and event spaces to the lesser of 40% or 50 people. It also includes masking language, reinforcing the need for all over two years of age who can medically tolerate wearing masks to do so in public places.
