Street Repairs In Motion Around Blue Island

Street resurfacing repair projects have begun throughout Blue Island as part of the Mayor’s Office strategic plan to repair and resurface badly deteriorated streets.

Initial streets undergoing repair are being funded utilizing CDBG Grant and TIF funds. They include:

• Irving, Chatham and Hoyne from Vermont to Grove Street
• Chicago from Vermont to Fulton
• Seeley from Vermont to the Canal

“Blue Island’s streets, sidewalks, and alleys were not a priority in this city. Those days have ended,” says Mayor Bilotto. “This problem won’t be solved overnight, but I along with my team am committed to fixing Blue Island’s streets utilizing every possible funding source available.”
