In preparation for this weekend’s Christmas in Blue Island Festivities, the following parking lot closure and street parking restrictions will be enforced:
The parking lot on the East side of Western Avenue between Union and High Streets will be closed on December 3-4 to make room for the Kris Kringle Mart. Be sure to stop by and shop on December 4 beginning at 2:00 p.m.! The lot will reopen for parking on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
There will be no parking on Greenwood Avenue between Vermont and 127th from noon to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday December 4, 2021 to allow for the light parade to line up. The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. that evening and can be viewed along Western Avenue from Prairie to Grove.
