City street lighting gets LED upgrade

*Improvements In Progress* All around Blue Island, you’ll notice crews upgrading City Lighting to new, brighter, energy-efficient LED bulbs and heads. The project is 100% funded from ComEd’s Energy Efficiency grant program, which was secured with assistance from Burke Engineering. The new lighting will reduce streetlight energy use by 65%.
