Free Meals for Kids this Summer!

The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Lunch Bus brings healthy meals to children (18 and under) in Blue Island this summer. All meals must be eaten on-site. Development Area Clean-up Starts Today!

Clean-up has begun on a large parcel of property the City of Blue Island owns on 119th Street (adjacent to the Village of Calumet Park). To attract developers to the property, this former dump site, closed in the 1960’s, needed environmental assessment and testing before clean-up could take place.
