General Summary:
The Cart Barn Attendant is responsible for greeting all golfers and providing outstanding service and information regarding golf functions to all golfers, that includes but not limits to providing golfers with clean carts and score cards and enforcing the Dress Code Policy.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Keeps staging area stocked with carts at all times.
• Upon closing, all carts must be accounted for, cleaned, dried, and pockets wiped down.
• Any trash is to be picked up on both sides of the course and around the clubhouse during each shift.
• Water dispenser’s must be kept stocked at all times. The dispenser must be kept clean at all times.
• Checks for loose balls and dispose of debris at cart washing area.
• Pick range balls from the range and supply range balls inside the clubhouse as needed.
• Closing procedure checklist must be completed each evening and signed by all employees closing.
• Assists on the range as needed as well as serving as a ranger on the golf course.
• Enforces all Club roles and regulation. i.e. the dress code.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the game of golf
• Knowledge of detailing and washing carts
• Valid driver’s license
• Outstanding communication skills
• Outstanding personality with the ability to interact with people.
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 4 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Environment and Scheduling:
• Work is performed outdoors during Golf Course business hours, Monday through Sunday including evening and night hours.
• Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.
• Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
