The City of Blue Island is seeking a Part-Time Cart Bartender position at the Meadows Golf Course
ABOUT MEADOWS GOLF COURSE
An 18-hole golf course that is a challenge to even the most experienced golfer. There are full practice facilities, including a lighted driving range and a practice putting green, golf shop, snack shop and sports bar.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests in Meadows Golf Course including but not limiting to taking guests’ orders at the bar and preparing drinks. This position requires being knowledgeable of all food and beverage regulations and the food and drink menu.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customer’s identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Check Guests in for Golf.
• Sell Range Buckets.
• Answer phones and make Tee Times for Guests.
• Be able to stock beverage cart and sell beverages around the golf course.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
• Proven working experience in the service industry.
• Knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Relevant training certificate.
Physical Demands:
• Required to frequently stand, walk, lift no more than 20 pounds for extended periods of time.
Environment and Scheduling:
• Work is performed during Golf Course business hours, Monday through Sunday including evening and night hours.
• Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
SHIFTS AND COMPENSATION:
Shift are available all days of the week. This position will be paid hourly at $12.00
