Based on information received from surrounding communities regarding potential looting activity and for the safety and protection of residents as well as our first responders, Mayor Vargas is imposing a curfew for the City of Blue Island effective 9:00 p.m. June 1, 2020 until 5:00 a.m. June 2, 2020. Essential employees are exempt. Business owners are encouraged to secure their property, and adhere to the curfew by closing at or before 9:00 p.m.
