As a precautionary measure for the safety of residents, City of Blue Island Mayor Domingo Vargas is extending the city-wide curfew, effective each evening from 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m., until further notice. First responders and City essential employees are exempt. Business owners are encouraged to secure their property, and adhere to the curfew by closing at or before 9:00 p.m. The necessity of the curfew will be re-evaluated daily and updates provided on blueisland.org and the City of Blue Island Facebook page.
