Update Regarding Possible Threats To Blue Island

Recently, there has been some information shared on social media regarding Blue Island being targeted for potential rioting and looting activity. There is no confirmed imminent danger at this time. Blue Island Police and Fire are carefully monitoring the situation and are in communication with surrounding law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and the Cook County Department of Homeland Security to determine the credibility of any possible threats. Updates or further information will be shared on the City Facebook page and blueisland.org.

As a precautionary measure, please remain at home when possible, don’t engage with potential threats, and call 911 immediately for emergencies.
