Mayor Fred Bilotto Appoints Geoffery Farr as Police Chief

Mayor Fred Bilotto is proud to announce the appointment of Geoffery Farr as Blue Island’s next Chief of Police. The Blue Island City Council recently voted unanimously in support of the appointment, and Chief Farr was formally sworn in in front of family, friends, and guests.

Earlier this month, Chief Farr celebrated his 24th anniversary as a member of the Blue Island Police Department, serving with honor at every stage of his career, including his most recent assignment as interim Chief.

“Chief Farr has a knowledge of the City and a passion for keeping it safe,” says Mayor Bilotto. “He is a quality professional who’s abreast of the developments, technological advances and emerging trends in in law enforcement, and I have every confidence that he will keep our streets safe while modernizing the department and leading a force of which we can all be proud.”
